David Craig – Job Running Architectural Technologist BA (Hons) Graduating in Product Design from Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication in 2003, and specialising in design for disability, David undertook additional training with award winning healthcare developers and Architects Montpelier Estates. Since graduating, David has been involved with a variety of healthcare projects from different disciplines including primary, secondary, private and community care. These include a 64 000 sqft polyclinic in Stratford upon Avon, through job running numerous Children’s Centre developments for Bradford Metropolitan District Council, to a secure psychiatric care facility for Women in Newark upon Trent. David has also been involved with designing and obtaining planning permission for a 120 room Care home and Close Care development within the Essex greenbelt, developing a range of model ward layouts for private care providers, including rehabilitation, low and medium secure psychiatric care complexes with sport and recreation facilities, as well as preparing feasibility schemes for a number of retirement village complexes. Since joining Healthcare Design Partnership, David has been working on, and running a number projects predominantly within the secondary health sector. These include. Team Member: Bradford Royal Infirmary, Wards 29 + 30 Fast Track modular Ward project. Team Member: Sunderland Royal Hospital, Fast Track 5 Storey modular wards and ICCU project. Job Running: Bradford Royal Infirmary, Enabling works to facilitate strategic development. Job Running: Bradford Royal Infirmary, New Generator Building + enhanced resilience project. Job Running: Bradford Royal Infirmary, New dining facilities, exhibition space and teaching rooms. Job Running: Lincoln County Hospital, Fast Track 56 bed 2 Storey modular ward project. "During a planned home birth in early 2009, David experienced midwifery first hand when he failed to phone the midwives in time and unexpectedly delivered his daughter Clara.”
