Healthcare Design Partnership were appointed by Kier Northern to act as Lead Consultant/Architect for a new two storey Forensic Mortuary to be built at Hull Royal Hospital. The new facilities have replaced a public mortuary near Hull city centre and incorporated a forensic mortuary. The ground floor consists of two post mortem rooms, supportive offices, visitors’ reception and bier room, changing and toilet facilities, vehicle covered access. The first floor comprises a forensic suite, isolation room with pass through hatch, photo room, viewing room together with changing facilities and toilets, meeting/conference rooms and offices.
